Well it's been a little quiet on our old blog lately because
you have all been doing the talking instead! I'd like to take this opportunity to send a big shout-out to everyone who's written such awesome stuff about our iPhone release on their blogs in the past few weeks - yes we have heard you all! If you haven't got ShoZu on your iPhone yet you can
download it here.
Here's a taste of what you've all been saying....
GigaOm says ShoZu is truly worth using on a daily basis
cNet says ShoZu is the whopper of all the iPhone social media apps
TechCrunch gave us a shout-out on day 1, listing ShoZu with just a handful of others they liked
IntoMobile lists us in their top 5 free iPhone apps
But the best news of all is that we have a brand new iPhone release just around the corner. It is the very first ShoZu release dedicated entirely to you as the consumer and the voice of shaping the ShoZu of the future. Every new feature and change we've made has been requested by you, your peers, and your fellow ShoZu users, and we really hope you love it when we make the big announcement soon... I'll keep you posted.
We take all consumer feedback onboard and if you have anything at all you'd like to say or request of ShoZu, or just want to chat about the Olympics :-) shoot me an email directly
jambo@shozu.com and be a part of shaping ShoZu for everybody!

So why was Shozu pulled from the shelves?
A hidden Shozu process kept trying to connect to the internet every 10 seconds from about 6am this morning. When I woke up at 10am the battery had died. Shozu kept trying to connect when I charged it up again, so I had to kill the process with Best Taskman. It seems like Shozu couldn't connect properly, but kept trying anyway.
Could you make Shozu stop trying to connect if itdoesn't get through after a few tries?
Thanks.
Sorry about that.... we were actually in the process of upgrading ShoZu on the AppStore and it took longer than anticipated for Apple to reflect the new version in their stores. It all should be working now :-)
Have to apologize for that one. During a recent upgrade our servers took longer than expected to come back online, so your phone would have been trying to reconnect. Normally this isn't a problem, ShoZu is programmed to back off initially after a few seconds if there is no successful connection, then a few minutes, then hours, etc, so it doesn't flatten the battery. But I think in this case, the outage might have made your phone retry in an abnormal kind of way. Our team worked overnight to get it all sorted and it's all working again now. Sorry about that!
can i help debug this? am i doing something wrong?

Go ShoZu go!
