can't wait fo the next release, i want 1600x1200, that's all i want :-) !
Heya Roland. It's a bit of a tough one because Apple only give developers access to the 640x480 set of images with no EXIF :-( but we've managed to squeeze a little something like this into the next release that you just might like :-) Stay tuned.

I tried to get Shozu from the app store this afternoon. Searching pulled it up, but trying to download it said it wasn't available. Now it doesn't come up in search and the direct link in this blog post says that it's not available in the US app store.

So why was Shozu pulled from the shelves?
Off topic, but I couldn't find Shozu forums.

A hidden Shozu process kept trying to connect to the internet every 10 seconds from about 6am this morning. When I woke up at 10am the battery had died. Shozu kept trying to connect when I charged it up again, so I had to kill the process with Best Taskman. It seems like Shozu couldn't connect properly, but kept trying anyway.

Could you make Shozu stop trying to connect if itdoesn't get through after a few tries?

Thanks.
@Gar
Sorry about that.... we were actually in the process of upgrading ShoZu on the AppStore and it took longer than anticipated for Apple to reflect the new version in their stores. It all should be working now :-)
Hi Dave
Have to apologize for that one. During a recent upgrade our servers took longer than expected to come back online, so your phone would have been trying to reconnect. Normally this isn't a problem, ShoZu is programmed to back off initially after a few seconds if there is no successful connection, then a few minutes, then hours, etc, so it doesn't flatten the battery. But I think in this case, the outage might have made your phone retry in an abnormal kind of way. Our team worked overnight to get it all sorted and it's all working again now. Sorry about that!
weird, i upgraded to 1.2/4.1.8 but the photo is still only 640x480!?! http://flickr.com/photos/roland/2803528618/

can i help debug this? am i doing something wrong?
Heya Roland, we've just released 4.1.37 today which supports full res capture and upload. Unfortunately, the SDK only gives developers access to 640x480 images from the image picker (photos that have been previously taken), we're hoping they change this in future! But all the photos you take whilst within ShoZu will upload at 1600x1200

yes, i can confirm that 4.1.37 does upload 2M pics if you take them from ShoZu app! thanks! unfortunately GPS tagging is not working, i believe that is my phone's (i.e. Apple's) problem not ShoZu's!

Go ShoZu go!
